A “Home Invasion”

Through former CIA spy Edward Snowden’s revelations last year, U.S. citizens found out their government is secretly watching them more than they knew. Every internet search, view, and purchase (even though in the privacy of our homes), along with every phone conversation, is not only observed but is apparently being stored in cyberspace. Some might say this is a violation that is nothing short of a “home invasion.”

But if this “home invasion” makes you feel vulnerable, think about the Spirit’s “holy invasion” [see yesterday’s post] of your heart. “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable” (Heb. 4:13). How would it change us, I wonder, if we had a greater revelation of the Holy Spirit’s ownership and occupation of our body and spirit which are His dwelling place: “Do you not know that your bodies are temples [homes] of the Holy Spirit who is in you… and that you are not your own?” (1 Cor. 6:19), a “home invasion” that began the instant you gave Jesus the key.

  1. Isn't it amazing that through Christ all the information stored up about us will not be used against us in the court of Heaven? What a wonderful thought! The US government has it's limited data collection, but God sees and knows all. Yet, through Christ exchanging His life for ours, we are now found "Not Guilty"!

  2. It's getting scary. I've just known about the "intelligent wrisband". ["Make fitness a lifestyle with Flex™. FLEX™ WIRELESS ACTIVITY AND SLEEP WRISTBAND. This slim, stylish device is with you all the time"] A close family member just bought one of those and I couldn't believe what he was saying when explaining to me all the benefits of getting one of those wristbands. I thought to myself, and told him afterwards: we are nearing the time for the coming of the Antichrist. This wristband is connected to a company in internet that stores all the information provided by this wristband -which you wear all day, by the way-, i.e. : the number of steps you take every day, your sleeping hours -identifying even the exact times when you wake up at night. You put some information in, like your weight and I guess some other things, and you are monitored 24 hrs/day. I said to that family member: Don't you realize you are giving that information voluntarily, and that a time will come when people will accept asn normal carrying a chip in their body? The control of the people is getting closer and closer even physically, without using force. First the computer, then the cell phone, then this wristband and then...
We can easily see how the enemy works so stealthily. He has inspired this fitness phobia, this obsession with wellness, and he has managed to make the bridge between body, mind and spirit through the New Age thinking. First we see that he creates a mindset to make people ready for his next move. It shows that he has been around for a while and he knows how to manage our internal makeup.
More than ever, how grateful should we be to have an indissoluble bond with our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our Anchor. Thank you Greg. :)

  3. Sorry, just a correction, I didn't mean fitness phobia but the opposite fitness mania. Correct me, if it's not the right word. :)

  4. Hello Patricia
I understood your meaning. And yes, isn't it interesting that something that seems so "good" and in this case "healthy" is also the potential seed of Satan's take-over. We are living in amazing times. thank you for sharing this with our readers. Greg
